4Good product but doesn't recharge IPOD nanoOct 02, 2009
The preset channels didn't work for my Nissan Xterra 2001. However, once I changed the frequency to 89.1 - there was no problem. No static and didn't have any receptions problems when I was driving around town.

However, the Kensington doesn't recharge my IPOD which is an inconvienence. My IPOD is 4nd generation nano (don't know if that's the reason) And don't know if would recharge different IPOD or the Iphone.

With that being said - I still would recommend this product. Good sound quality and no disruption. Ease of use.

Also the price has been lowered for this product.

5One of the BestSep 17, 2009
This is one of the best FM transmitters I have seen. This transmitter has crystal clear sound and is very powerful for a FM transmitter. I live about 40 miles from Houston and I was testing out the full range of this transmitter. It overpowered every radio station except for the two local stations whose towers are less than a mile away. My friends and I usually drive to places in a group, but they usually have me go in front of them because this transmitter overpowers their FM transmitters everywhere in a two car radius. Sucks that Kensington discontinued it because the newer one is not worth it at all.

4Works really wellSep 17, 2009
This is great! It's strong, it charges my ipod, and makes it easy to change stations. I just wish the display screen tilted upward so I could do it when I am driving alone!

4I LOVE this device!Nov 17, 2008
I got this FM transmitter as a gift (from my wish-list) for X-mas 2007 after researching all the available models at the time. I have been VERY happy with it and have only deducted one star because I think the frequency screen can be difficult to read from many angles.

I live in Knoxville, TN and we have a pretty full FM-spectrum here (almost every channel has a station on it, or bleed-over from a powerful station on a close frequency). I toggle between a couple of channels at the low-end of the FM-spectrum (convenient pre-sets make this easy) if I ever start hearing noise coming through on one of them. The noise is very rare though.

I've used this device on long trips down the eastern coast and have never had any problems with it. The toggle button on the left side of the unit allow easy channel changes, but as I stated above, the screen is difficult to see at many angles that aren't straight-on.

The cord length suits easy use for my truck or my wife's van and never seems to be in the way. I don't think I'd like a stretch/coiled cord because of the tension it would create when I tuck my iPod in cup-holders or console-boxes.

3Ipod fm transmitterOct 27, 2008
Product arrived loose, and the pieces apart. The seller was very conscientious, and even offered to refund the cost, but I was able to figure out how to put it back together, and it works just fine.
