what's not to like?Nov 14, 2009 I just love this keyboard & mouse. Takes a little while to get used to the keyboard layout cuz of the wave design, but it works! The rubber pad below really is nice for your palms to rest on when typing. The mouse is nice & heavy & works like a charm. Moves with ease & with SetPoint you have several options to customize how it works; same with keyboard. Only thing they don't tell you on the quickstart setup sheet, the cd provided to load the drivers etc is for Vista/XP, not Windows 7. For those, you need to go directly to the website. This combo makes my old setup feel like a dinosaur!!
The only Logitech product I didn't loveNov 13, 2009 I've been using Logitech keyboard and mouse combos, at work and home, for years. Over the last dozen years I've tried other brands, only to return to the quality and reliability of Logitech. Right now I'm using this Wave set at work and home and I'm really disappointed.
I have two serious complaints, and these problems show up on both Wave sets, one on MS XP and the other on MS Vista (relating to the second problem).
1) The keys are sticky, in the up position, and I often have to return to re-strike keys that didn't fully depress. The problem started on both sets within the first month of operation. My work and home offices are both above-average clean environments.
2) When filling in a data field on an online form, I must click in the data field and then move the cursor away from the data field before I begin typing. If I don't move the cursor, my typing will not appear in the data field. I don't know if this is caused by Logitech software. I don't have the problem when I use a PC w/low-price MS keyboard or on my wife's Mac.
I didn't buy the two sets at the same retailer, so my guess is the problem is not isolated to a single Logitech production lot. I'm going to stick with Logitech for my next purchase (after frustration drives me to smash these two) and hope for the best.
Keyboard OK, Mouse software badNov 12, 2009 I bought this to replace a belkin wave keyboard. Tried the Microsoft 4000 and 7000 and the center keys, especially the space bar, you had to pound on.
The keyboard is fine on this one.
The mouse, however, is a little small and has buttons on the right and left side. If you don't hold the mouse just right those extra buttons get pressed. In my case I was continually hitting the right hand side button on the mouse this caused the computer to scroll to the right 1 page, spreadsheet, etc.
So I went to the software and unassigned any function to that key. Now when my finger hits that key a window pops up and says there is no function assigned to that key, do you want to assign a function Yes or No. Almost more annoying than the switching of pages / screens.
I Emailed Logitech support and they said to make the message go away then just reset the defaults. I Emailed and said no I do not want that button to do anything, fix the program, well long story short Logitech support said to try to not hit that button and ended my support case.
Based upon the support I recieved I'd recommend against purchasing anything from Logitech.
Love this keyboard but....Nov 12, 2009 There are no lights on the keyboard indicating caps lock, number lock, or anything else. It came to my attention when I was typing in a password and I could not tell if I had the caps lock on. I really love this keyboard. It is very comfortable. The wrist rest is firm, but comforatble. I am really enjoying it. Overall a great piece of equipment.
Great keyboard / mounse bundleNov 11, 2009 Logitech did a great job with the ergonomics on the keyboard. Design is very comfortable to use. Mouse is good too, but a little small for my hands.
