Logitech MouseWas a Jan 11, 2009 Was a Christmas gift and was well received. Shipped fast and was exactly as described.
Amazing mouse that never quitsSep 04, 2006 I bought this mouse used about 5 years ago for 10 dollars (it was the cheapest optical mouse I could find). Judging by its price, I didn't expect it to work for long. Today it works like it did when it was bought, perfectly without any jumps, even though the reciever is many feet away and seperated by several inches of wood.
The batteries for this mouse do occasionally need replacing, approximately every month, so what I suggest is having 4 rechargable AA batteries, and have 2 be charging and 2 in the mouse, then when the mouse dies (unfortunately there is no warning, one second you're using it the next it's dead), just swap the pairs. It'll save you money.
The mouse is fairly ergonomic; my hand wraps around it in a natural way, and I can use it for hours at a time without any consequences.
Anyway, enough about the reliability, let's talk about the mouse itself. This Logitech is one of the smaller, ligher mouses I've encountered. This makes reasonably sensitive, even though mouses today have upwards of twice its DPI. The fact that it is so light and sensitive makes it a great gaming mouse; I can move it across both of my monitors in one stroke. It glides easily over pretty much any surface, but use a mousepad, one, because its "feet" can get clogged, and two, because it has trouble with most non-flat surfaces.
In terms of functionality, it's pretty much your no-frills basic mouse. It does have a scroll wheel (which is definitely very useful), and the two standard buttons, but don't expect anything else.

How Did I live Without This???Oct 20, 2005 My office space is small in my home, and my corded mouse was getting hung up in my printer, which was not fun. This mouse is the best!! It doesn't get hung up, and you don't have to clean the lint out of it. The betteries seem to last a while too.

Logitech Cordless MouseSep 14, 2005 This is the second Logitech mouse I've tried. The first was an optical but not cordless. Both quit working after a year of use. Though I liked the way both performed while they were still usable, I have been disappointed twice by Logitech and will not buy that brand again. I have a Kensington mouse that has been working for 5 years and Microsoft opticals that go on and on. Sorry I haven't had the luck the other reviewers have had.
