Affordable, but small and clunkySep 13, 2009 This was to be a replacement for my Apple Mighty Mouse. I bought it based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews (at another site).
The LX3 is small and hard to grasp. Clicking requires more pressure than it should. Tracking across the screen was spastic; I had to turn it way down just to keep my cursor from leaping all over the place. Scrolling is not smooth, but moves in little jumps; often I want to scroll up just one line, but the scroll wheel doesn't give you that kind of fine control.
If none of this bothers you, you may find this a value. I'd rather have better control and a mouse that fits my hand better. Next time it's back to the Mighty Mouse.

NOT GOOD AT ALL.Aug 28, 2009 I got this mouse from Bestbuy and I had to return it. it's not very comforable, and the moment of this mouse is not good at all, I have a old mouse doesn't work too well, so I try to get a new mouse, but this one is about the same with the old one, the old mouse is 10 months old and I bought it like $10, this one I just got it 10 months after at the price is $30, and they are about the same, just a waste of money!
great mouseAug 15, 2009 I had to replace my old Logitec mouse of 7 years because my right click button would not work. The LX3 is an awesome replacement. Very comfortable and smooth to work with and fits in the palm of your hand. The middle scroll whell scrolls very smoothly.
Optical mice are the norm now. (remember the wheel base mouse?)This mouse should last another 7 years. Nice investment for $30. The best way to go if you do not want wireless.

Good mouse, but buttons are pretty badJan 12, 2008 I picked up one after my old Logitech mouse cord went bad. One thing I noticed off the bat (which might not be a common technical problem) was that the left and right buttons were not good. Clicking on something sometimes wouldn't work. The mouse button would "click" but onscreen it wouldn't register unless you actually pushed the button hard. Was very annoying and I quickly returned the mouse after testing it for a day or 2. Is a narrow mouse also, I don't recommend it for people with large hands, it just doesn't feel smooth and natural. Get a wider one.
One more nice LogitechNov 27, 2007 A very nice mouse for the price. I bought it as a secondary computer mouse but now using it instead of Apple mighty mouse.
I used to use an MX7 cordless before, of course it's not compared to that one (especially when my big hands are in account) but still a very smooth mouse.
I'd pay a little more for a cordless version if existed. But there's still a "bigger & handful" mouse in my mind.
I found the "scroll click" buttons very useful. Nudging the scroll wheel left&right gives you two programmable clicks. I use it as a keyboard stroke and saves "a lot of time"
Just a little reminder, I'm experiencing a premature "carpal tunnel syndrome" and using that "scroll click" with my index finger seems to be causing some pain @ near future. Not a minus for the product, just a reminder for guys like me.
Overall: A good product. A good price/performance ratio. I'd prefer a bigger mouse but would be o.k. for most people.
Reminder: Please pay attention on your working ergonomics. When it hurts, it hurts really bad!
