terrible build quality for the mouseNov 19, 2009 I have purchased two of these for my company and while I like the overall comfort and ease of installation, the quality of the mouse is horrendous. The mouse will just stop working and skipping on the page all of the time. I have tried to use it on multiple surfaces but it is like the whole thing just gets confused once in awhile. Even the left click gets screwy. I will click on something on occasion and it just won't register. If I right click on it, it works fine. The dynamic zoom is kind of cool as well but the location means that you occasionally bump it with the side of your hand and it will screw up what you are doing or send you back a page when surfing on the internet. There are just so many weird glitchy things that happen with this combo that while it seems like a good value up front, after a couple month, the combo starts going to hell and you get to the point where you just want to launch the mouse at the wall. I will be working on the phone with a customer and then my mouse goes and I am left fumbling to get it going again while I try to stall for time due to this crappy mouse. I think I am just going to buy something different and see if this mouse will blend in my blendtec.
Beautiful Hardware with no LongevityNov 11, 2009 This mouse/keyboard combo is great looking and very comfortable. The problem is that it does not last. After 10 months or so the keyboard keys began to stick, randomly. It got progressively worse over time. At about 12 months the mouse just quit working altogether. There is a good warranty on the product, but it is very inconvenient to have to return it to Logitech. It takes about 2 weeks for the turnaround so one needs extras to get by while waiting.
Additionally I have my doubts that the problems have been fixed and I may be back at this same point next year. If so I will update this review. For almost $100 I'm sure there are reliable combos available. Save yourself the hassle and find something else!
good at firstOct 07, 2009 at first the product was great, however after a month i have started having connection issues. i keep having to manually connect it through the connection wizard. sometimes it takes 2 or 3 times before it works.
the keyboard is very comfortable but the mouse is a little awkward.
a clock?Oct 07, 2009 This keyboard works well, and was easy to install. It has a nice feel.
However, for some reason they decided to add an LCD clock calendar at the top center. But, they were so lame that the clock has to be set using some combination of strange buttons on the keyboard. One would think that since the keyboard is connected to a PC, and the PC knows the time and date, that this could be communicated to the keyboard... What a disappointment to add features that look nice when you look at the box, but suck in implementation.
I still have not figured out what to do with the "Dynamic Search & Zoom"...
The other buttons seem to work well.
The mouse is satisfactory.
Amazing!Oct 05, 2009 This keyboard is awesome!!! It integrates perfectly with Windows Vista, and does more than any keyboard I've ever had. The fact that it's wireless is a huge plus, and the keys are quiet when you're typing, too. I highly recommend this keyboard.
