5Not one problem in over 3 years.Jul 25, 2009
I'm not sure what the mouse I used before this one was, because it's been so long. I'm actually having a hard time considering moving on to a flashier, "better" mouse, like the Microsoft SideWinder X8 Mouse because this one has made me nothing but ecstatic.

After 3-4 years - I'm not sure when I got it - the mouse's left and right click buttons are turning black and slightly indented, and the Logetech logo on the back is basically gone.

But that's the only thing that's changed.

All the buttons still work flawlessly, (though I guess the back and forward buttons do feel a little flimsy, and everybody that uses my mouse and isn't yet used to it presses them by accident.) the mechanism in the scroll wheel hasn't faltered once. I use this mouse on a bare desk (which isn't in the best condition by any means) and it does not jump around or click erratically, unless the batteries are getting low.

And the battery life on this beast!! In all the time I've owned it, I can remember changing the batteries 4 times. And I don't ever turn it off. The software seems to randomly give me a "Your MediaPlay mouse's batteries are critical" message, but I don't change the batteries until I notice some erratic movements and the message doesn't return.

Anyway, my point is, I would have been happy had I spent $200 on this mouse, simply for it's reliability and sturdy construction. Enough said.

5Great MouseJul 10, 2009
I have owned this mouse for over 5 years now and love it. I've never had a better mouse no matter how expensive. This mouse is worth every penny.

5Fantastic MouseApr 18, 2009
I have had one of these mice for at least 3 years and love it. If mine dies I will be buying another. I bought this unit for my mother who wanted it for media control so she could control media playback from her computer from some distance. It is working great for her too.

Features I love:
-Long battery life on NiMH rechargeables
-The media controls (play/pause, skip next, skip back, FF, REV, volume control)
-The internet browser forward and back buttons
-Range for mouse operations (<10 ft)
-Range for media only operations (<30 ft)
-Well shaped to fit in hand as mouse and as remote
-4D scroll wheel

Cons:
-transmission range does decrease with unit age

5Best Mouse I've Ever OwnedFeb 12, 2009
First, let me say that I bought this mouse on Amazon because it is no longer manufactured by Logitech, and can only really be found online. I had one of these mice already, but managed to break the USB receiver through my own misuse. I didn't want to give up the functionality of a good mouse, so I bought another one just for the receiver. I use one mouse at home and carry the other in my backpack, using the same receiver. All together, this mouse has TEN buttons, not counting the clicking scroll wheel, which also tilts left and right. Aside from the media buttons (Next, Back, Play/Pause, Volume Up & Down), the mouse is completely customizable. Every other button can be programmed to do whatever you want, including using keyboard shortcuts, which is very practical. The mouse is comfortable for both right- and left-handed people because of its symmetric shape. The invisible optical light and the power switch on the bottom of the mouse help conserve power, too. Range is pretty good; between 10 and 15 feet. Overall, this mouse is amazing! I highly recommend it.

5I broke a USB wireless for this mouse but still can't throw away the mouseDec 18, 2008
I had this mouse for 3 years. I broke the USB that makes the mouse go wireless but I love this mouse and I can't give up. Doesn't anyone know if I can buy only the USB I sat one and broke it. I still have the mouse.
