You shall walk though the valley of darkness should you make the unfortunate claim: "Great joy! I have found a camera for my Linux host. Let the fun begin!". Hear me well. I know of UVC cameras, and I say to you -- this is no UVC camera.
You will, however, find it adequate for other purposes.

Bought three of these for my family, sent one to each of my kids. Now we not only talk but see each other. Great for keeping up with the grandkids. Easy setup and easy to use.
