Old product renamed and price increased.Dec 03, 2009 This headset is identical to the old, A-0356A.
Notice the 0356 in the product number.
I have the original A-0356A, it's a great product that lasted about 2 years before the ear piece broke off and I had to re-solder the wires together.
Outstanding product.
Overpriced because it has been on the market for at least 4 years.

Good, dependable, comfortable USB headsetMar 29, 2009 Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2IC2DH6UJNR5D Comparison of Logitech 980356-0403 Stereo USB Headset 250, Logitech Premium Notebook Headset, and Plantronics Foldable USB Stereo Headset (Optimized for Laptop Use) (Audio 470 USB).
Logitech 250 - comfortable USB headset which served well for several years.
Logitech Premium Headset - poor quality (though mine is refurbished), uncomfortable, not especially portable.
Plantronics Foldable Headset - comfortable, very good quality, folds down nicely.
If portability is an issue, go with the Plantronics. Otherwise, you may be better off with a direct USB headset such as the Logitech 250. Avoid the Logitech Premium.
A Tale of Two Earphones.Feb 26, 2009 It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of podcasts, it was the age of streaming internet radio--in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
I purchased this set on January 15, 2006. Today, February 25, I pronounce them dead. They actually broke a few weeks ago from the pivot on the left cup, and after supergluing them together, they did not hold on past today. This has been my favorite pair of low-priced, high-quality, USB-powered, noise cancelling headphones. And/or just computer headphones. Initially, I bought them to record a podcast and they worked wonderfully. But then I got a co-host and I had another USB-powered headset but the two did not get along. On OS X, it will only recognize one set of the headphones at a time. There are work arounds, but do not attempt them as it is a huge waste of time and effort. If you are getting these for yourself to Skype, game, or just listen to some jams, I fully recommend them. They lasted me all of three years in the harrowing environment that is commuting to work. They still work perfect, its just now I can't really put them on my head without the thing dangling. They do get a bit uncomfortable after say 3-4 hours, but which headphones do not at this price range.
For reference, I have used these on XP, OS X 10.4 and OS X 10.5. I have used these with Garageband, Quicktime, Skype, iTunes, Audacity, and other audio program on both platforms with ZERO problems and/or driver issues.
Minus one star simply because it did break.
Best headset I've ever used!!Feb 14, 2009 Ok, so this is only the second headset I've used but thats besides the point. I am very pleased with this headset it has great sound quality and for it's price I don't think it can be beating. About the only thing I wish it had was volume control built into the cord other wise I am totally pleased with this headset. I can't not recommend this headset enough fro people loing to get the most bang out of their buck.
Logitech Stereo USB Headset 250Jan 20, 2009 I have a Mac and for some reason my internal mike was not working when I was using SKYPE. This headset has helped me so that I can now use my SKYPE.
