Easy & reliableNov 15, 2009 I love this product. My home office is too far from the wireless router, so I bought the Netgear HDX101. I run my laptop, VOIP phone & fax, all from the small netgear box. Just plug it in to the wall and you are ready to go. I'm going to buy another so that I can download movies to my TV.
Nice but hotJun 28, 2009 This product works great, but the units tend to get warm or even hot. Not something you want to feel plugged into your outlets.
Great Gaming SolutionApr 13, 2009 I've had these for about a year now and haven't even looked at them for about as long. Which is good because based on some of the reviews I'd seen, I thought that I would be replacing them every 3-6 months. But so far so good, they haven't exploded or caught my house on fire yet (although they do get very hot). I bought these after the cable company wouldn't install ethernet in my living room for XBox Live. I'm glad I found them, too, because Wi-Fi wasn't nearly fast enough. Now I can stream HD movies to my XBox from my computer instantly and play online with no lag. I do not advise using Media Center )if you have an enabled computer) to manage your media streaming, just allow your XBox to access Windows Media Player instead. Media Center is ridiculously slow to start up and can't play some of the formats that WMP can. (Oh, and they were $200 when I bought them and still worth it)
ExcellentApr 09, 2009 I had the hardest time getting all of the computers on my wireless network to work properly with the printer before I got this. I plugged this into the wall, hooked up the printer and now - printing is faster and reliable. I used another one for my XBOX and that works great too.
Highly recommended.
Delivers as promisedMar 06, 2009 Product works as promised. Internet speeds are shaky though - A receiver plugged in very close to the transmitter shows almost no drop in speeds. However another receiver plugged in the second floor shows almost a 50% drop in speeds. In any case, since I started with cable broadband internet speeds, the difference is minimal if any.
